Brown-Olmstead, a Shandwick International Company and Corporate Media Communications of Atlanta and Philadelphia).  In 1993, he was selected as the first Assistant Executive Director of the Georgia School Superintendents Association, a position he held until his appointment to the Georgia School Boards Association in July of 1996.

Gil strongly believes in the principles of public education and its profound influence on the establishment and success of our nation.  Further, he believes that every child should have the benefit of the finest education possible regardless of geographic or socio-economic circumstance.  He has dedicated much of his life’s work to that cause.

A graduate of the University of Florida (Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communications) with a major in Public Relations, Gil received his Masters in an accelerated Executive Management program from Georgia State University.  A licensed private pilot, Gil enjoys flying, golf and music.
